The Belmark Trio is know for their lush, romantic interpretations of the repertoire for clarinet, viola and piano. This concert features Mozart’s famous “Kegelstatt” (Bowling Alley) Trio, so named as it was supposedly written by Mozart while he was bowling. The work has a jovial nature, but was taken seriously by many other composers inspired to write for the combination. One of those was Max Bruch, whose Opus 83 pieces are some of the best from the German romantic master.
