Melding entertaining personality and engaging musicality, the Little Trio (from the big state) showcases works for soprano, clarinet and piano. Their programs mix beautiful classics with wonderful melodic new works and forgotten gems of the past.
The Little Trio is known for a dynamic performance style that engages the audience and communicates artistry and passion for music. Unafraid to be quirky, unconventional and just plain fun, the trio not only coordinates their outfits for a unique performance look, but also looks for every opportunity to bring music alive for their audience. They love to present songs in English when possible, even presenting famous works by Schubert in illuminating new poetic English language versions, which capture the word painting of the songs as never before for English speakers. They are also known for bringing audience members directly into the performance with participation on stage and will even create improvised music on the spot from key words or phrases chosen by the audience.
Throughout everything they do, the big personalities of the Little Trio shine through to communicate their musical artistry in a way that is memorable and unique.
