Friends of diverse backgrounds come together in Dallas-Fort Worth to bond over the universal language - music! Enjoy a varied and entertaining program from three extremely accomplished musicians coming together to perform on the Open Classical Artist Series. Their program takes you on a journey from the beautiful lyricism of Bach and Mozart to the drama of Brahms, through the virtuosity of one of the violin repertoire’s famous showpieces, and finally to the passion of Argentine tango.
About the Performers
Violinist MaiKe (Ke Mai) is originally from China and currently violinist in the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra. He was a founding member of the Cezanne Quartet, winning the Coltman Chamber music competion in 2015.
Pianist Haeshin Shin is a native of South Korea, and current resident of Milwaukee, WIsconsin, where she is on the faculty of the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music, and frequently performs in the New York and Boston areas as well.
Cellist Jason Mooney is a native of New York, and current resident of Dallas, where he graduated with his Master of Music degree from SMU. He recently performed a sold out recital featuring a newly commissined tango for cello and piano on the Mexican Consulate series in Las Cruces New Mexico.
